As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of donors to keep our direct services free to all families and individuals in the 22q community.
Why Give?
Our dedication and your donation will directly support our educational programs including: Education Station, Career Pathways, Riley Dempster 22q Family Foundation Scholarship, as well as virtual informational webinars, educational brochures/pamphlets and outreach/teaching to professionals and school support staff. We offer all of these direct services free of charge to families and individuals in our community.
We are grateful for those that give, as it allows us to provide the necessary resources and programs across the lifespan of an affected family member. Our donors help to ensure the continued support of our community and the longevity of our organization.
Education Station
This educational consulting program serves families with school-age children pre-school-transitioning beyond high-school. We partner our educational expert, Donna Cutler-Landsman and her team of consultants, with families to help support, educate, and offer advice regarding IEP (individualized Education Plan) for their child. Our consultants also work closely with schools to educate the school staff on the unique learning profile of these students. In total, we have helped over 632 families/individuals get the educational support and resources they need since 2016. We have trained close to 3,400 school staff about 22q as well. You can find out more about this program here.
Career Pathways
This career consulting program was developed to support teens and adults with 22q, as well as siblings, and parents looking for a career change. We partner our Career Coach, Jason Osborn, with individuals looking to find a job, internship, or new career. Jason will work with you or your child on resume building, interview readiness skills, and self-advocacy; helping them select their best pathway after high school. You can find out more about this program here.
Riley Dempster 22q Family Foundation Scholarship
This annual scholarship was created to support students with 22q who are furthering their education after high school. In 2023 we began inviting parents and siblings in our community an opportunity to apply. Since 2017 we have awarded 30 students scholarships. We have given away $57,000 in scholarship funds. You can find out more about this program here.
