Cook Children's
At Cook Children’s 22q multidisciplinary clinic we provide specialized care for children with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (DiGeorge/VCFS). Our multispecialty clinic was founded in 2023 with a mission to simplify the healthcare journey for our families, which is why our clinic is designed for convenience and comprehensive care for our patients navigating a complex diagnosis. Our goal is to provide families the ease of seeing their core specialists in one day and in one location.
We also recognize that 22q11.2 deletion syndrome affects every child differently—from heart health and immunity to speech and development. Our team is specifically trained to look at the 'big picture,' identifying needs that might be overlooked in a traditional clinical setting. We collaborate across specialties to create a treatment plan tailored specifically to our patient’s unique needs. As we continue to expand, our current clinic includes the following pediatric subspecialties: Genetics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Immunology, Plastic Surgery, and Speech Therapy.
